Have you ever wanted to change a title tag in your WordPress?
The best and easiest way is to use a plugin called Yoast.
Yoast does many things SEO related incredibly well. Titles tags and Meta Descriptions are just some of them.
A title tag should clearly state the title of your page. The title tag is also a great place to include your primary and secondary keywords.
In this example, I am using the title tage editor for this very page. You can see Yoast automatically pulls the title tag seperator and site name. In this case, that works perfectly. In other cases, you could edit the title by deleting those and adding your own.
Also, you want the slug, which becomes the URL, to also mimic the title tag but separated by dashes instead of spaces.
Yoast gives you an indication of how long the title tage should be. Orange, and you can do better, Red and you have too much, Green, you’re just right.
It’s debatable how important the meta description is nowadays. If you leave it blank, Google will pick the most relevant text on the page to be the meta description.
